Rehiyon-Rehiyon - December 9
Another major cultural event in Marikina is the Rehiyon-Rehiyon Festival which is also held annually in line with the Marikina’s Christmas Festival and Marikina Cityhood Anniversary. It is participated in by the sixteen (16) barangays in Marikina. Each barangay is assigned a particular region in the country to represent. Highlights of the festival include the parade of the participating barangays in their ethnic attire, street dancing and cultural presentations. |

Sapatos Festival - Oct.15 upto Nov.30
The Sapatos Festival in Marikina has gone in a successful run since it was started in 2002 under the excellent leadership of Mayor Marides Fernando. The festival, which was first celebrated on October 15 to November 30,2002, aims to boost the century-old industry by dedicating a month-long celebration highlighting its historical, cultural and economic advancement through the years.

River Festival : Ilognayan - 2nd wk of February
The City government of Marikina, sprearheaded by Mayor Marides Carlos Fernando once again showcases the importance of a river to the folks living nearby.
"A river can help enrich the culture of one's locality. Marikeños are lucky for having a river that can be a good source of food & livelihood for the citizens, besides serving as an alternative mode of transportation from one place to another,' Mayor Fernando says.
With the City Government of Marikina spearheading the revitalization of Marikina river, it is certain that Marikenios can be proud of a legacy that they can pass on to the future generations.

Ka-Angkan Festival - April 8
Angkan-Angkan is a reunion of century old family clans in Marikina, which is held annually coinciding with Marikina’s founding anniversary. It has as its primary mission of reviving strong family ties, encourage Marikeños to trace their roots and by looking into the past, retrieve their legacy. |

Marikina Christmas Festival - 2nd wk of November
During the celebration of the city’s famous event, the entire stretch of the Marikina River is lined up with stalls selling shoes, clothes, toys, bags, home accessories and a lot more at affordable prices. The celebration, which marks the start of the Marikina Christmas Festival, has always attracted thousands of crowd from different places who enjoy its nightly entertainment shows or just simply strolling along the riverbanks for a taste of nature’s serenity. |
