CHO celebrates Healthy City Center’s 3rd founding anniversary with Health Fair 2011

In line with the celebration of the third founding anniversary of the Healthy City Center, the city government of Marikina through the City Health Office (CHO) will spearhead Health Fair 2011 on July 15. The said activity will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the ground floor of the Healthy City Center located along Shoe Ave., Brgy. Sto. Niño, Marikina City. On the said occasion, the CHO will conduct activities that will help support continuous health and medical projects for Marikeños. Among the services to be offered are diagnostic procedures and services such as free bone scan, fasting blood sugar test, cholesterol test, blood pressure reading, and medical consultations, as well as product sampling of supporting pharmaceutical and health care companies. “We are inviting all our residents to come, avail of our free health and medical services, and celebrate with us,” said Mayor Del De Guzman. Aside from the year-round medical services that the CHO provides at the city’s 16 barangay health centers, the CHO offers regular health and medical services and affordable laboratory examinations available at the six-storey Healthy City Center. Among the state-of-the-art facilities used for delivering effective medical services include blood chemistry analyzer blood hematology analyzer, dialysis machine, x-ray machines, ultrasound, electrocardiogram, and glucose meter (glucometer). “We believe that the progress of every nation relies on its human resource – its people. Thus, we in Marikina are committed to look after the welfare of our residents through accessible and improved health and medical programs to help nurture our people. This thrust is very important in producing a happy and highly productive populace,” De Guzman added.
