Shoppers looking for high quality and affordable footwear and bags have only until this Sunday, January 6, to shop at the Shoe Bazaar at the Freedom Park.

The shoe bazaar, which opened on November 12 of 2018 as part of the celebration of the Sapatos Festival, will end on January 6. Marikina-made shoes and bags are being sold at the bazaar at a discount of as much as 50 percent compared to their prices at shopping malls and department stores.

The holding of the shoe bazaar is part of the City Government of Marikina under Mayor Marcy Teodoro’s administration to help the shoe and bag manufacturers of the city expand their market and boost their sales, especially during the Christmas season. Customers from other parts of the country have become regular shoppers of the annual shoe bazaar in Marikina, known as the Shoe Capital of the Philippines.

According to the Marikina Shoe Industry Development Office (MASIDO), sales at the ongoing shoe bazaar have exceeded the expectations of the City Government.
