The City Government of Marikina under the leadership of Mayor Marcy Teodoro is building another multi-purpose hall in Brgy. Marikina Heights. This time, it’s in Asiatic Subdivision.

This year, several multi-purpose halls have been completed in Brgy. Marikina Heights. They are located in Gentville Subdivision, Westland Homeowners Association (HOA),  Samahang Magkakapitbahay ng Apitong HOA and in Noah HOA.

Multi-purpose halls have also been built this year in El Rosario and Mountain Hill, both in Brgy. Fortune, and in Dona Petra Compound in Brgy. Tumana.

Building multi-purpose halls is part of the City Government’s commitment under the national government’s Community Mortgage Program (CMP), which aims to give informal settlers the chance to own lots through the Social Housing Finance Corp. (SHFC). Under the program, the City Government must improve the communities that would be part of the CMP.

Through the CMP, every homeowners association in Marikina can borrow money from the SHFC so they can buy the lots where their homes are built. These loans are guaranteed by the City Government of Marikina.
