City Hall Employees Always Busy Keeping the City Clean and Orderly

The City Government of Marikina is busy fixing roads, cleaning up streets, beautifying schools and clearing communities of obstructions as part of Mayor Marcy Teodoro’s commitment to keep the city a better place to live for Marikeños, especially the children.

Mayor Marcy believes that a clean and orderly environment will help in ensuring a brighter future for Marikina’s children. “Kung gusto nating maayos at maganda ang buhay ng ating mga anak, kailangan maayos ang kanilang kapaligiran,” Mayor Marcy would always tell the employees and officers of the City Hall.

As a result, Marikina yesterday witnessed various road improvement works being undertaken to keep the streets clean and orderly. Some of these works were done along Kingsway and  E. Manalo Sts. and the sidewalk on Visayas St.




Schools were also being cleaned up, particularly its open spaces. At Jesus dela Pena National High School, City Hall employees fixed the pavement in front of the school.




 

Meanwhile, at the Gazebo Neighborhood Association, the Marikina Settlements Office of Public Safety and Security undertook a clearing operation also yesterday. The streets and sidewalks of Gazebo were cleared of any obstruction such tables and benches and trash.



On top of all of these activities, the hard working City Hall employees also cut the tall and overgrown grass to maintain the city’s cleanliness and keep it safe.
