Mayor Marcy Teodoro yesterday turned over newly-acquired heavy equipment to the City Hall’s engineering department and the City Environment Managemen Office to speed up public works and the delivery of services to the communities.

Among the equipment that were turned over right after the Flag Raising Ceremony at the newly-opened Freedom Park include a cement mixer truck, three mini dump trucks, a jail van, a grader, four jackhammers and a payloader.

“Huwag nating pahirapan ang ating mga tao. Narito ang kasangkapan upang mas mapadali  ang ating trabaho,” said Mayor Marcy at the simple turn-over ceremony. “Mas mabilis at mas efficient na pagtratrabaho ng ating mga kawani ang mahalaga.”

The Local Government of Marikina will be adding more heavy equipment including a mini dump truck, tow truck and a pickup van. They will come handy in the construction of several public works and infrastructure facilities now being undertaken by the City Hall.

Under Mayor Marcy's leadership, the Local Government is implementing a number of infrastructure projects to improve the living condition in the city including the construction and improvement of roads, bridges, drainage system, school buildings, bigger health centers, multi-purpose halls for the communities and a lot more.
