Mayor Marcy Treats Teachers to Free Movies on Marikina Teachers’ Day

The City Government of Marikina under the leadership of Mayor Marcy Teodoro is treating all teachers in Marikina City to free movies tomorrow, Friday, December 14.

The free movie pass is a tribute of the City Government to all teachers in celebration of the Marikina Teachers’ Day on December 14.

In extending the free admission to teachers on their special day, Mayor Marcy and the entire City Government of Marikina is paying tribute to all teachers for their invaluable contribution in molding the youth to become good citizens of the country, as well as their invaluable share in the growth and development of Marikina City.

"Maraming salamat sa pakikiisa ninyo sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Marikina. Hindi matatawaran ang inyong kasipagan at sakripisyo mailatag lamang ang magandang kinabukasan para sa kabataang taga-Marikina," Mayor Marcy said in a statement.

"Ang inyong simpleng pagpasok araw-araw upang magturo sa paaralan dito sa lungsod, hanggang sa mas malaking responsibilidad na tumayong pangalawang ama at ina ng mga mag-aaral na taga-Marikina; kayo po, higit sa sinopaman, ang pinagkakatiwalaang huhubog sa aming mga anak, ang susunod na henerasyon sa lungsod na ito," Mayor Marcy added.

All teachers under the Department of Education in Marikina can watch free movies at SM City Marikina on December 14 from 11:00 in the morning to 10:30 in the evening.

Treating all public and private school teachers and non-teaching personnel under DepEd Marikina to free movies in cinemas within the city during the Marikina Teachers’ Day was approved and passed by the City Council on June 8, 2016 under City Ordinance No. 034 Series of 2016.
