Public works in Marikina City continued after the Christmas Holidays as the employees of the City Engineering Office were busy yesterday fixing the drainage along McDonald’s Avenue.

The drainage was being improved and strengthened to ensure that the traffic along the stretch of the avenue would flow smoothly and would not be hampered by any repairs in the future.

Meanwhile, the City Government is extending its gratitude to Marikenos who trooped to the City Hall yesterday to pay their taxes.

The taxes collected by the City Government are used to fund the construction of public works such as building more schools, widening and fixing roads, putting up street lights, constructing multi-purpose halls, health centers, police stations and a lot more.
